Our mentoring, explained...

Our
Mentoring
Explained

At WeSTRIVE Mentoring Ltd., we deliver high-impact, school-based mentoring programmes designed to support students with behavioural, emotional and motivational needs. Our work is structured, measurable, and focused on outcomes that matter to schools.

We provide targeted support across five core mentoring pathways:

  • Behaviour Management

  • Emotional Support

  • Anger Management

  • Confidence Building

  • Motivational Development

These categories have evolved considerably over the past year, allowing us to fine-tune our interventions to meet the needs of diverse student cohorts.

Every student begins with a 1:1 session completing an initial assessment and goal-setting sheet, outlining personal targets and emotional starting points. After six weeks, each student undergoes a structured review, and we work closely with school staff to determine whether further mentoring is needed - either within the same area or through a different discipline depending on their progress.

To ensure accountability, the programme concludes with a final evaluation, mirroring the initial assessment. This process provides schools with clear evidence of behavioural change, personal development and overall progress. These outcomes are fully documented, helping demonstrate impact, effectiveness and return on investment

Using Physical Activity

As part of our dynamic approach, WeSTRIVE Mentoring Ltd. uses non-contact boxing as a proven tool to build confidence, discipline, focus and emotional control. Boxing provides a structured outlet for students to channel energy positively - especially effective for those who may struggle in traditional settings.

Our group pad work sessions promote teamwork, communication and respect, helping students develop trust, self-awareness and resilience in a safe, engaging environment.

We also offer before and after-school boxing clubs, open to a wider range of students. These clubs encourage attendance, boost engagement, and help us build stronger connections across the whole school community - including staff and families.

This approach positions WeSTRIVE Mentoring Ltd. not just as a mentoring provider, but as a visible and active part of your school culture, driving both individual progress and whole-school wellbeing.

Behavioural
Management

Our structured Behaviour Management programme starts with a six-week targeted workbook focusing on the role of mentoring, the value of positive behaviour, and setting clear, personalised goals.

Whether it's persistent low-level disruption or more serious behavioural incidents, we deliver focused support that addresses the root causes and promotes long-term change.

If further intervention is needed, students seamlessly continue onto BM2, an advanced six-week course designed to reinforce progress and embed new habits.

This pathway offers schools a proactive, consistent and measurable solution to managing behaviour and reducing repeat incidents.

Emotional
Support

Our Emotional Support programme has evolved significantly, recognising that understanding a student’s emotional needs often takes time. The initial six-week course supports students facing low-level anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling generally overwhelmed, with a focus on self-awareness, emotional regulation and resilience.

For students with more complex needs, we offer more in-depth booklets (ES2 & ES3), which builds on initial progress and introduces tools to develop a positive growth mindset and long-term emotional strength.

Anger
Management

Our Anger Management programme is a focused four-week intervention designed to address incidents involving aggression or physical behaviour swiftly and effectively.

Recommended immediately following any physical incident, this pathway reinforces the message that violence is never a solution - in or outside of school - and promotes emotional control, personal accountability and the importance of self-discipline.

Short, impactful, and reflective, this course provides a rapid-response solution that supports school behaviour policies and helps reduce repeat incidents through early, meaningful intervention.

Confidence
Building

Our six-week Confidence Building Course is designed to help participants understand the root causes of low self-confidence and develop practical strategies to boost self-esteem. Starting with self-awareness, each session guides learners through a structured workbook that encourages reflection, goal setting and personal growth.

In the first session, participants set clear, achievable targets to increase their confidence levels. Throughout the course, a blend of written exercises and spoken motivational techniques support ongoing self-development, empowering individuals to build lasting confidence both in and outside of the classroom.

Motivational
Development

Some students don’t struggle with confidence or behaviour but find it challenging to stay focused and work consistently towards their goals. Our six-week Motivation and Organisation Course is designed to equip young people with practical strategies to improve focus, time management, and goal-setting.

Through targeted exercises and motivational techniques, this course helps students develop strong organisational skills and a positive mindset, empowering them to stay driven, achieve their targets and strive for ongoing success.
